An organisation launched last year to promote the open science (OS) movement in Africa will this year spearhead efforts to interlink African universities to help the global concept gain quick and wider acceptance across the continent.
The African Reproducibility Network (AREN), formed in 2023 by a group of African and international OS actors, will also initiate training and awareness creation integrating the principles of OS and open access targeted at academia, researchers, graduate students and librarians, among others.
